Middleton Press author and founder, Vic Mitchell, unveiled a Blue Plaque at Haslemere station on Wednesday, 2nd October 2019.
The plaque, arranged by the Haslemere Society, was a commemoration of the railway coming to Haslemere in 1859.
Vic was a founder of the Festiniog Railway Society in Wales, which was the first railway revival project in the UK. He later founded Middleton Press, which has published around 500
regional railway albums. The event was hosted by the Surrey Hills to South Downs Community Rail Partnership and South Western Railways.
