Vic Mitchell book launch at Churnet Valley Railway

Vic Mitchell was delighted to be invited to attend the Churnet Valley Railway's Winter Steam Gala to launch his new book, Branch Line from Leek.

It is subtitled 'to the Manifold Valley' and includes the Caldon Low Quarry. The Churnet Valley Railway is nearby and a special train that day ran to Ipstones, which is illustrated in the album.
