A blue plaque was unveiled last week to celebrate the inaugural meeting of the Festiniog Railway Society - 65 years after its formation.
Middleton Press' Vic Mitchell, the sole surviving director from the FRS founders' meeting, was at the event, which took place at St Mary's House in Bristol University. The plaque was unveiled at 2.30pm on 8th September - 65 years, to the minute, after the 1951 Bristol meeting, which led to the formation of the FRS.
The FRS was the world's first railway revival scheme.
