Gosport and Horndean Tramways
by Martin Petch
Gosport and Fareham Tramways ran trams through pleasant countryside and was the main stimulant for its urbanisation. The Portsmouth & Horndean Light Railway ran through grass alongside the A3 for much of its route and was the provider of reliable transport for rural dwellers working in Portsmouth and city residents seeking the pleasures of the countryside at holiday time. Fully illustrated are journeys on both systems.
