North East German Narrow Gauge

The old established lines have only become popular attractions in recent years, with improved access. Their appeal is evident in the imaginative selection of photographs which cover three gauges in diverse backgrounds of great charm. Part one features the metre gauge lines in the Harz Mountains, the Gemroade Harzgerode Eisenbahn, the Brockenbahn and the metre gauge lines in Thüringen. Part two covers the Bad Doberan to Kühlungsborn - the Island of Rügen, the metre gauge routes on the Baltic Coast, the 60cm rails in Mecklenburg and West Pomerania and the 75cm systems of Brandenburg.
