Midland Main Lines

Coventry to Leicester

via Nuneaton and South to Rugby

by Vic Mitchell & Keith Smith

Coventry had one of the first stations in the Midlands and the district soon became very industrialised. The complexities of the railways that followed, both here and northwards, are illustrated in detail.

The trains were of great variety and the more rural route to Rugby adds diversity. Fascinating junctions abound near Leicester.

Review:

'This book had The RM's editor and deputy editor fighting to review it; the subject matter is largely centred on their local line - the South Leicestershire Railway!... The images are many and varied, and the captions full of extra details and snippets of information.'
