Eastern Main Lines

Broxbourne to Cambridge

including the Thaxted Branch

by Vic Mitchell

There was a good variety of goods yards and a staggering number of staggered platforms on this once entirely rural section of the direct route for London to Cambridge. The changes st the stations and the development of passenger trains are illustrated in detail, along with the improvements in signalling and locomotives.

Reviews:

'The photographs, all of which are captioned, are of good quality and show a broad spectrum of life on the railway from quite early in history to the present time.'
(Friends of the National Railway Museum, Autumn 2012)
