Country Railway Routes
Stafford to Wellington
Including the Coalport branch
by Vic Mitchell & Keith Smith
The London & North Western Railway operated both the route and branch and so it is their stock and that of its successors which predominate in the photographs.
However, many industrial locomotives feature in the views of the complex iron and coal workings in the area southeast of Wellington.
Some recent freight developments make interesting comparisons.
